School bus services for key worker families in Lincolnshire under strain due to coronavirus restrictions
In a message issued overnight by Martin Smith, Lincolnshire County Council’s Interim Director for Children’s Services - Education, he said: “The council and local transport operators are working hard to support children that still need to be transported to school at this time.
“Unfortunately, due to the increasing challenges it is now proving very difficult to maintain current transport arrangements with contractors.”

Hide AdCompanies are struggling with issues including maintaining staff levels due to self isolation and childcare issues.
He apologised for the late notice but they were dealing with challenges as they arose.
As of today (Wednesday), if it is essential that children continue to attend school and are usually entitled to transport, parents and carers are being advised to accompany them to the pick-up point to be sure that their transport arrives.
Mr Smith went on: “If transport does not turn up they are advised to take them to school or college themselves. If at all possible we ask that parents and carers continue to do this. If it is not possible for them to transport their child
