Women aged 71 years and over who would like to be can also call the administration office on 01522 573999 to make an appointment.
The Lincolnshire service has started the national Age Extension Pilot Scheme, where a random selection of women aged from 47 to 49 years or 71 to 73 years from practices will also automatically be invited for screening.
“Early detection of breast cancer is crucial in improving a woman’s prognosis and so we strongly encourage women to attend a breast screening session,” said screening office Manager, Alysa Page.

“One in 12 women over 50 will be affected by breast cancer and our mobile screening service is part of the work we are doing to reduce this life threatening disease.”
The mobile service tours the county on a regular basis, but only visits one area at a time and appointments must be made to use the service.
