Bassetlaw: Council to host flag-raising events to celebrate Commonwealth Day
Commonwealth Day is celebrated by young people, schools, communities and civil society organisations every year on the second Monday in March.
It is an opportunity to promote understanding on global issues, international co-operation and Commonwealth values.

Hide AdIn Worksop, the event will be held on the Old Market Square and will be attended by Deputy Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, Brigadier Browne, chairman of Bassetlaw Council, Coun Gillian Freeman, leader Coun Simon Greaves, Father Nicolas Spicer, children from Norbridge Primary School and other invited guests.
The Retford event will be held on the Market Square with guests also invited.Both events are due to start at 9.45am.
