Bassetlaw cub scouts ready for a party to remember
The four hour ‘cool-pool party’ will be a non-stop activity session, complete with party food, birthday cake, loads of games and bags of excitement.
The Cubs will make a splash in a multi-pool water wonderland of geysers, fountains, jets and airbeds in their very own sub-tropical Amazonian adventure. Then they’ll strap on their ice-skates and set off to explore the ice caps on two inter-connecting ice pads, complete with ramps and jumps.

Dan Wood, head of all Nottinghamshire cub scouts, said: “The youngsters were clear they wanted to do something different to launch their centenary, so we listened and designed an event they wanted.”
The event will be part of a major new initiative called Cubs 100.

“If you’re an adult and want to experience more adventure in your life then join us and get involved as a volunteer helping out as a Cub Scout leader.”
Cubs 100 aims to provide the 2,500 Nottinghamshire cubs with the opportunity to get involved with the centenary experience.
Importantly, the Nottinghamshire Scouts hope that Cubs 100 will help to increase the number of adult volunteers by raising the profile and understanding of the impact of cub scouts today.
