Chess glory at North County
Parish Church Primary School held the final round of their school chess competition, which is part of National Championships.
Around 28 children, aged between 6 and 11, have been playing matches one dinnertime a week for the past seven weeks. Eight of the children have secured enough points or won their gender/age group competition to be selected to take part in the Lincolnshire Mega Final in Lincoln on 4th May.
The overall winner of the competition was Luke Crossley who said: “ I know it will be very tough at Lincoln, but I’m looking forward to it.”
