Drink drivers caught on same Mansfield Street on same day get exactly the same ban
Artur Tkaczyk, 37, of Chaucer Street, Mansfield, admitted driving while he was over the limit on Arundel Drive on July 27.
Earlier in the same court room, Rafal Mazurek, 31, of Byron Street, Mansfield, admitted the same offence on the same day at the same place. He also admitted possessing a small quantity of amphetamine.

Hide AdBoth men appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning, without representation, and spoke via the same Polish interpreter.
Breath tests revealed that Mazurek had 43 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, while Tkaczyk had 46 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
When interviewed, Mazurek said his family had been away for the night and he had ‘seen the opportunity to have some fun’, said Ruth Snodin, prosecuting.
Magistrates banned him for 13 months and fined him £255, with a £30 victim surcharge and court costs of £85.

Hide AdTkaczyk told magistrates a neighbour had asked him to move his car and said he hadn’t been thinking.
He was also banned for 13 months and given a £310 fine, with a £31 victim surcharge and court costs of £85.
