“The reaction we received was fantastic and to have raised over £1,500 for such a good cause like the Trinity Centre Dementia Group was the icing on the cake.”
Secretary Caroline Romaine said: “We had heard that the dementia group’s funding had been cut, so we knew that we needed to do something to help them out.”
Jayne Pegg, project administrator at the Trinity Centre who oversees the dementia group, said: “To receive such a big amount of money is absolutely amazing.

The dementia group started with just 12 members in July 2015, but now has over 100.
It is open to anyone with dementia, their carers, and any family members affected by it.
They meet every Wednesday from 2-4pm and new members are always welcome.
