Fuel stolen from parked vehicles in Whitwell and Creswell
The most recent happened on the A619 near Whitwell, when diesel was stolen from a lorry parked in a layby overnight between Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th February
Around half a tank of fuel was stolen from a lorry parked in a layby on the A619 near to Steetley Lane overnight between Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th February.

Hide AdIn Creswell, the fuel cap to a Nissan Micra parked at Model Village was damaged in the early hours on Sunday 23rd February, but nothing was stolen.
Community safety inspector Russell Dakin said: “Enquiries are currently on-going into these offences, and patrols are being stepped up. If anyone has any information, or notices anything suspicious then please get in touch.”
“We would also encourage drivers to park in well-lit, busy areas, or if possible in a position which makes it difficult to access the fuel cap. It is also worth considering having specialist security devices fitted to fuel tanks or caps to help prevent your vehicles from having fuel stolen.”
