Gainsborough: Mallard travels through Gainsborough
The Class A4 Pacific locomotive made its way from its home base at York Railway Museum to Grantham where it was displayed at the town’s railway station over the weekend.
This was one of a number of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of its record breaking run on 3rd July 1938 when raced down Stoke Bank at 126mph.
