Meeting will discuss ambulance proposals
East Midlands Ambulance Service chief executive Phil Milligan and a paramedic worker will answer questions at Worksop Town Hall.
EMAS’ Being The Best consultation proposes the closure of 66 ambulance stations across the region, replacing them with 131 community ambulance posts, standby points, and larger ‘hubs’.

Bassetlaw Coun Wendy Quigley set up the meeting calling for a ‘cross party approach’ to help inform the proposals.
“This exercise will gi v e the public the opportunity to make suggestions and speak to the officials,” said Coun Quigley.
“Improvements to response times in Bassetlaw are needed but we need a solution that does not involve crews being taken out of the area.”
She urged as many people as possible to attend the meeting.
“None of the proposals have been set in stone,” she said.
