Anwick villagers rally for Arthur
Last month, we reported on how Arthur Ingram, 81, had gone to Anwick Cemetery to visit his late wife Mary’s grave, only to find that the large, hand-crafted planter placed there in her memory had been taken.
Neighbours were so upset by the news that they organised a collection for Arthur, allowing him to not just buy a replacement planter, but flowers and plants for the grave as well.
The family give their thanks to all for the gesture, in particular to Miles Thorndike and Vicky Haley.
