Planning go ahead for glamping plans in Legbourne
East Lindsey District Council has given the green light to a controversial proposal for land at The Queen's Head pub in Legbourne to be used for the siting of four bell-shaped tents for glamping - 'glamorous camping.'
The council’s planning committee met yesterday (Thursday) and backed the proposal after hearing claims pubs were facing difficult commercial challenges.
Several councillors said it was important to support local businesses, including Coun Pauline Cooper who stressed the glamping project would generate new jobs.

Hide AdHowever, Coun Adam Grist, who represents the Legbourne ward, said the site was ‘wholly inapproriate’ because it was surrounded by residential properties.
He added residents were concerned about noise issues.
