Scouts say farewell to their base after 60 years
The 10th Boston (North Rural) beavers, cubs and scouts, will be moving to their new meeting place at Alan Baxter Training, in Highgate, Leverton, after Easter. Group scout leader Jackie Adamson said: “We have been meeting there for more than 60 years and whilst we are sad to have to leave Butterwick, as the building has been sold, we have been very lucky and look forward to scouting at Leverton.
“We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over that time. Thanks also to Dick Westland for all his donations to the group, to Alan for kindly letting us use his building, and to Sue Bonnett for all her work to keep the garden in such a nice way over the last few years.”
