Video: Polish sisters open traditional bistro in hope of giving Worksop a taste of Polska
The two women, both in their thirties, originally hail from the seaside town of Swinouyscie in north west Poland and moved to Worksop six years ago- determined to integrate with the local community.
They enrolled in English classes at North Notts College and volunteered with the police before fulfilling their dream of opening their bistro, Sister’s Diner, which opened two months ago at 52 Gateford Road.

“We are passionate about introducing Worksop residents to Polish cuisine, and want to welcome them to our bistro. We prepare everything from scratch and buy meat fresh from the butchers. It’s healthy, wholesome food that we are certain the people of Worksop will all enjoy.”
“We offer homemade soups, dumplings, schnitzel, chicken dishes, pork dishes, meat stews, pancake dishes, fresh vegetable side dishes and much more, all at great prices.”
“Since we moved to Worksop our lives have been happier with more stability, and we look forward to a bright future here in the town,” Maggie added.
