VIDEO: Volunteering projects help revive areas of Gainsborough
Around 20 youngsters aged 16 and 17-years-old are taking part in National Citizen Service (NCS), a year round, government-backed programme that builds skills for work and life.
NCS supports young people to take on new challenges and adventures, make new friends and contribute to their community.

Lead mentor, Amy O’Sullivan, said: “As a key partner in the NCS Network since 2012, we have supported the social action initiative in its success by providing youth work expertise and efficient programme management.
“As part of their social action project for the past two weeks the group have organised a bag pack at Tesco fundraising for the Blue Bells Children Hospice.
“They have also helped renovate the Gainsborough adventure playground before and this week they have been renovating the Gainsborough tennis courts.
“The group have been cutting down hedges, litter picking, weeding and re-edging pathways to add a new lease of life to the tennis court.”
