Village fete tops £870 for three good causes
The money will be split between three causes – Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Ancaster Football Club and Ancaster Cricket Club.
Around £870 has been collected, but money is still being counted before a final figure can be reached.

Hide AdAttractions at the fete included various stalls selling lots of different items, a beer tent, a cider tent from village pub Railway Inn and the Ancaster Sports and Social Club were there too.
There was also live entertainment from bands and singers to keep spirits at a high.
Show organiser Rebecca Curt said: “It went really well, and those who came had a really great time.”
She added: “It is the first show for a long time, and hopefully there will be many more to come.”

Hide AdIn true Great British style, the heavens opened on the day itself, but nobody was put off by the rain.
Rebecca said: “The event started at 2pm, and the rain finished by about 4pm or 5pm, so it wasn’t too bad.”
