Trinity’s Tricky Terry ‘can do better’
The youngster, signed from Evo-Stik Division One side Carlton Town in the summer, has featured on the wing and in a free role for Steve Housham’s Blues, scoring once in the process.
And while he’s enjoying his football under a new boss, at a higher standard, Hawkridge believes there’s more to come from both himself and his team-mates.

“I wasn’t really worried about moving up the leagues, even though I knew training would be harder, if you play your game you should be okay.”
“I think I’ve done quite well, I’ve scored one and set a couple up, but I can do better – I’ve got more in me.”
The 22-year-old tasted play-off disappointment with Carlton last season, and he’s keen to eradicate those memories with his new club.
“I think we can get to the play-offs and get promoted.”

“I got to the play-offs with Carlton last year, but lost in the semi-finals and it doesn’t feel good. I want to go all the way with Gainsborough this season.”
Having won their last two league games, without conceding a goal, Hawkridge and the Blues are buoyant.
“I think when we get the ball down and play we can beat anyone, and we can go on a run now and hopefully keep some more clean sheets,” he said.
“Steve has been great for me, he’s always available, and the lads are brilliant – we’re more like a family than just a team.”
“We’ve got Corby on Saturday and we just want to keep winning.”
