Unique Typhoon painting to be raffled for charity
Cityscape artist Ed Waite has donated the painting to BAE Systems and RAF Coningsby to raise money for their chosen charities.
The artist recently presented his painting of a 29(R) Sqn Typhoon to their Commanding Officer, Wing Commander James Bolton, and BAE Systems Head of Training, Paul Hutchinson.

Paintings by Ed Waite, who grew up in Lincolnshire, have featured in many galleries across the UK.
“I’m not an aviation artist as such; I usually paint cityscapes, so the Typhoon is an interesting departure from the norm,” he said.
“I hope my style has produced something quite unique, and will therefore generate lots of interest, and lots of money for the charities.

“Growing up here you are very conscious of the RAF presence in the county, and the work they do.
“I’m delighted to be donating this painting to RAF Coningsby, to raise money and awareness of charities that support RAF personnel, and in the case of LEMR, the wider Lincolnshire population.”
The painting, which with frame measures 45 inches by 35 inches) and original sketch will be raffled off in a prize draw at this year’s RAF Coningsby Families day on July 22, where Ed will select the winning ticket.
