COUNCILLORS at Caistor are asking West Lindsey District Council to bolster the town's conservation status by ensuring that enforcement takes place to retain it.
Coun Andre Wilkin felt there was a 'distinct lack of controlling anything going on in the Caistor Conservation Area'.
Coun Dave Hill agreed, saying "We need tighter control of the conservation area."
Coun Mike Stockwood said it was disgraceful that West Lindsey was not 'coming down hard and heavy on some people' and was particulatly critical of some house owners who had installed plastic windows instead of wooden ones.
