THERE were mixed fortunes on the local cricket scene for Market Rasen area clubs at the weekend in the Lincolnshire League.
For once the weather was relatively kind and a full programme ensued.
l In Division 1, South Kelsey seamer Marcus Meadows took five wickets as his side had a good win away to Holton-le-Clay.
l In Divison 2, Lee Chambers made 93 as Owmby won a
top of the table clash away to Alkborough 2nds, Ciaron Deegan also taking four wickets but Market Rasen, apart from Richard Limmer's 34, batted poorly to lose to Scothern.
l In Division 3, Caistor 3rds, hoping to avoid relegation, needed a good win away to Barton Town 2nds but lost heavily by 140 runs, although they did manage five bowling bonus points.
Although Jon Taylor scored 46, title-chasing Hibaldstow suffered a shock home defeat aginst Alford 2nds. South Kelsey 2nds were also short of runs, apart from Tony Potter's 26, and paid the price by losing to Haxey 2nds.

Haxey 2nds 100 for eight, beat South Kelsey 2nds 85 by 15 runs.
