THE Black Horse Angling Club of Ludford have held their first ever match against a fellow angling club in their six-year history.
Pigeon Cottage Fishery at North Somercotes, the scene for the eight-man catch of the 248lb of fish a few weeks ago, was the venue and the ten-man-aside match was against Horncastle Angling Club. The match was fished from 9am until 3pm on a dry, but very windy Sunday on the Willows Lake.

Horncastle managed a total 121lb 14ozs out of a total weight of 185lb 8ozs of carp, mirror carp and tench.

The top weight of 41lb 6ozs was achieved by the Horncastle AC angler Matthew in peg 26.

A return match has been organised at Bain Valley Fisheries for the 21st September.
